**NOTE: Some rail systems that use anti-rotation tabs may need slight modification to fit this upper. It is designed for flush mounting rails and standard hand guards.
**NOTE: When building Colt 9mm Carbines, please use our Standard C-4 Side Charging Upper
**When using this upper for a 9mm or .40 build, you must either use a carbine buffer with our buffer spacer, or a 9mm LONG buffer. Not following these instructions could cause damage to the rear door of the upper that will NOT be covered under warranty**

This was my first side charging upper and I can't say enough about it. I really like the ease of cycling the bolt once the complete unit is together. I had a hard time initially as I was trying to cycle the action with only the empty upper. Once together the action works very smoothly and easily. My only complaint is that the upper, which cycled the bolt easily, was difficult to use with my reaction bar to install the barrel. The inside of the receiver was very slightly undersized and had to be filed to get the rod to be inserted. Once assembled though this is a great upper and I love the side charging handle. Tolerances can be a real pain at times, but I'd rather have it tight than loose. Everything else about the upper was great and worked flawlessly. Fit and finish were perfect with the one minor exception of the inner fit on the rod. Again, the bolt fit ok so it might have just been my rod. I highly recommend this design and will definitely use it again on future 9mm/40 S&W builds.
