Due to some manufacturing issues with the barrels, we were severely set back on assembly times; however, they're in the works and will be stocked in the next few weeks.

We have not tested it.  Any modification to the EXPs will void warranty, so it's not recommended.

A Cool!!! 300 BLK would be great but 6.5 Grendel would make my decade. I'm buying steel cased wolf like there's no tomorrow after seeing that gel test. Will order my 556 as soon as I get the email.

If the rail systems on the MK1 and Mk2 were of the same type, the weight would remain the same.  We do not recommend removing any parts of the EXP-556s as this may void warranties.

The MK2 has a full top rail and rear vertical rail, marking the differences between the two models.

The EXP is not available in 300 BLK as of  the date of this response, but will be a future model, release date to be determined.  Pricing and availability will be updated on our web site when available.

After buying the product line and bringing the parts in house, re-tooling for the parts for manufacture here at our facility and fixing some issues with existing inventory, we're now very close to completion.  We have all of the lowers assembled and all of the upper subassemblies done, but are waiting on barrels to be re-made due to an error that an outside vendor made on them.  They are expediting the new batch and we should be back in action shortly.  Thank you for your patience!

The bbl is proprietary and can't be swapped out easily, but yes, we are going to try to release .300 BLK uppers and complete EXP's this year.

Anything that mounts to a normal pic rail will work.  There are many variants out there.  We will also be releasing one in the next 25-30 days.

They come with a polymer LPK installed which mirrors the sizes and positions of standard AR-15 controls.

Yes, all standard AR-15 pistol grips will fit, however, if your EXP is still in its 1-year warranty you may void it by swapping parts.  Be careful not to over torque the screw into the polymer receiver.

As seen in the photos and descriptions, the MK2 has a rear vertical rail with integrated QD sling mount as well as a top rail along the handguard.

We've been working very hard to get these finished and re-released ASAP.  We're working out the last few kinks now so it shouldn't be much longer.  All of the lower receivers are completed and sub-assembly on uppers is done as well -- almost there!  Thanks for your patience!

Brass Cased 5.56mm factory loaded ammo is what is suggested.

Changing component parts on the EXP is not advised and will void the firearm’s warranty.

There is also no one currently making a compatible handguard.

We expect both EXP-556 pistols to be re-released by mid-December

No, we are not aware of anyone making aftermarket handguards for this pistol.

The muzzle brake is not meant to be removed by the customer and will void the warranty if done anywhere but the factory.  The brake is an important part of the EXP recoil reduction system and may effect felt recoil and muzzle blast if removed.

Yes, the Tri-Rail Kit is compatible with the Mk2 Pistols.  The kit comes with a hand drill to use, the holes are not pre-drilled so that you can choose exactly where you want to locate the rails.
